Halloween in Chicago

This year we went trick-or-treating in Chicago. Our good friends had a Halloween party followed by trick-or-treating followed by party. It was such a neat experiance, one I had never had before.

We were in our friend's neighborhood, Roscoe Village, where there are lots of families with kids like ourselves. After eating a lot and drinking a lot we took the kids out for a very good time. Not only did the kids get goodies but the adults were lucky enough to find shots at some of the houses. Now where else does this happen? I am not quite sure, but I do know I have never seen it before. The stores were handing out candy too. We had such a fantastic time with great friends and can't wait until next year. Gavin is still talking about scay guys!

This is the jack-o-lantern Gavin made by himself with the exception of carving! Good job buddy!!

Not sure why this picture is the first in order but I swear we went to the bar after T-or-T!!

Gavin decided to be a zebra for school. He had fun being a zebra. . . i think!

Christian was a giraffe, which made for a cute pair.

My cutie!

Apparently Felice doesn't take a picture any other way.

Can you tell Tara is 7 months prego? I sure as #@$% can't!
Krystal of course was a big help. Especially for me at the end of the night. I appreciate her so much. She has been such a big help lately.

I think they are fighting over Mary. Come on Gavin!

Stef was not exactly thrilled that he was the only adult who dressed up. But he was a really good "man in the yellow hat" and had a very cute George.

Yep there it is, the proof, Karen!!

I think this picture is so funny. Don't ask me why!

Not quite sure.

Thank God for my parents who had us over for the weekend. I was so lucky to see my sisters and brother. Everyone has been so supportive through this tough time and I am very appriciative. It really makes you appreciate the your friends and family who are there for you in difficult times. Thanks!!!

Gavin had a blast playing with Auntie Sarah. She even taught him the phrase "GET OFF THE ROAD JERSEY." Yeah thanks sis.

It was so great to be able to see Gavin play in the leaves.

This picture does this "Jack Skellington" jack-o-lantern no justice. My dad, Honey, made it for Gavin and he loved it. It must have taken him some time, but he seems to not care when it comes to Gavin.
